Now with more email

When I started this blog, I thought I wanted the technology to be extremely simple. This lead me to run a Jekyll blog – flat files, markdown, what could be easier?
But, because I wanted to host it at home, I couldn't really write easily. No editor, no on-the-go interface. A lot of juggling files. It didn't make for the most appealing publishing system.
So I traded in for a self-hosted version of Ghost the other day. It was relatively simple to set up, though I had a minor snag with my nginx config. After some tweaking and porting in some old Jekyll posts, I now have a setup that's easy to write in and just works, and the theme system is relatively straightforward. And it can send emails! Which, why not.
Cheers,
Ken
